Quarantine 2020

Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses. A season for every purpose under heaven. This season is Transformation. After being captured in a cocoon of fear and doubt, I now emerge as a butterfly in a new world where nature takes over and gets its place back.

This season Egrets sing in the salty marsh, and birds wait at my feeder to get fed.  A season where light is so bright it awakens your soul.  A season where artists and musicians become very creative, A season where families and friends show their love.

Time is different now. Instead of racing the clock to do more things than I can, an hour is not measured.  Sounds become a focus, the ticking of the clock and wind chimes blowing in a ocean breeze.  Time is irrelevant.

Becoming this metamorphotic Butterfly flying out of Quarantine I have a sense of renewal, a new perspective. What does not serve me I am letting it go. I am finding a higher calling.  Finding a better place than I was before. I am creating.
My new mixed media Mosaic butterfly artworks include semi-precious stones, sea glass from Topsail Island, and crystals which illuminate prisms of light. No fear only meditation, and love. 

Be gentle with yourself, nature, family and community. After all we are a child of God. God will always protect us even in this new season.  Come to Topsail Island and create with me.
